Our pre-session consult can be held in person (at your home, a coffee shop, or somewhere similar), by phone, or via email as works best for you. In this consult we will discuss the specifics of your session, dates and times, location ideas, what to wear, and any questions you may have. We will also discuss what you hope to get out of your photo session and how we can best plan to make your photo dreams a reality. In addition, I will have you sign a booking contract with the details of your session.
Yes! I typically serve North San Diego County, but I am more than happy to discuss traveling to work with you elsewhere, although travel fees may apply. Let’s discuss and see what we can come up with.
My goal is to make your session as stress-free, casual, and fun as possible. Many people take 10-20 minutes to relax and “warm up” to the camera, so we will start by chatting and I will also interact with your children or animals so they can become more comfortable around me. We will take a combination of posed and candid shots, although most of my sessions are heavily weighted to candid photos. We can set up some poses, as you like, and I can certainly help guide/direct your family gently to get the best results possible. If we are photographing your dog or horse, it is most likely we will be out walking/playing/riding as appropriate. For indoor cats, taking time to play with them and help them relax is a top priority to create beautiful images.
Absolutely! At my core I am passionate about animal behavior (and in addition to working as a photographer, I also work professionally as a dog trainer), and as such I take great care to ensure a safe, stress-free, and fun session for your animals, regardless of who they are. Please let me know up front what kind of accommodations your pet may need and we will take time to plan our time together carefully to set them up for success.
Yes, I certainly can. If you don’t see the package you had in mind, reach out anyway and let’s see if we can work something out.
Not at this time. Currently, I am releasing only fully edited, high-quality JPEG files so that you can do all of your own printing. If you need any ideas, I can recommend some high-quality online print companies you can use.
